Implants

Implants are often times used to replace a single missing tooth, or multiple implants are used to anchor dentures. The process of placing an implant requires first placing a post surgically in the jawbone. Once healing has occurred, then a custom made artificial tooth is placed on top of the implant. Your implant will function just like your natural tooth and in turn returning your reason to smile again.

Oral Surgery

A number of conditions may require oral surgery, including:

Wisdom teeth otherwise known as third molars, are the last set of teeth to develop. Sometimes these teeth emerge from the gum line and the jaw is large enough to allow room for them, but most of the time, this is not the case. More often, one or more of these third molars fails to emerge in proper alignment or fails to fully emerge through the gum line and becomes entrapped or “impacted” between the jawbone and the gum tissue. Impacted wisdom teeth can result in swelling, pain, and infection of the gum tissue surrounding the wisdom teeth.

Root Canal

During root canal treatment, the inflamed or infected pulp is removed and the inside of the tooth is carefully cleaned and disinfected, then filled and sealed with a rubber-like material called gutta-percha. Afterwards, the tooth is restored with a crown or filling for protection. After restoration, the tooth continues to function like any other tooth.

3-Dimensional Cone Beam Scan

3-dimensional x-rays are utilized by our dental specialists for dental implant placement. They help me increase the safety and precision of your dental implant surgery. 3D x-rays are often called CT scans, 3D scans, or cone beam scans. Cone beam 3D scans are extremely safe and have very little radiation. For your convenience, our office has the capability of generating a 3D scan in seconds during your dental visit to maintain the highest standard of care
